Discovery Channel and travel and living has got to be one of the best tv channel in my opinion. I can spend my entire Sunday afternoon watching it. Theres this one show called Million 2 one where they show what are the odds of an event goin to happen and some other miracle stuffs relating to numbers. On one of the epi, they asked a question about wheres the missing dollar. lets see if anyone of u can explain this.
3 men went to a restaurant for meal. They received a bill for $30. So each of them forked out $10 and pays it to the waiter. Moments later, the waiter arrives and inform them that they are having a promotional discount for their meals and returned $5 to the men. Knowing that they cant split the change equally, they gave the waiter $2 as tips and split the remaining $3 among them. So, in the end each men paid $9 for their meal. 9 * 3 = $27 . they gave $2 to the waiter. $27 + $2 = $29 . Where is the remaining $1?
Theres a trick to this question. Anyone who can guess it right will get the missing $1 from me...haha!
